We are seeking a skilled video editor for a long-term retainer to create short-form video ads for a DTC e-commerce brand. These ads will be used on platforms like Meta and TikTok. This role requires a strong understanding of direct-response advertising and the ability to produce engaging, high-converting content on a weekly basis.

what you will do
you will be responsible for editing short-form video ads, typically ranging from 15 to 60 seconds each. The weekly volume will be determined during the onboarding process.

Specific tasks include:
- Researching successful competitor ads (guidance will be provided).
- Recreating these ad concepts using provided assets.
- Incorporating lyric-style text overlays throughout the videos.
- Inserting compelling hook overlays at strategic moments.
- Synchronizing transitions and music beats with emotional peaks in the audio, such as when a name is pronounced, a chorus hits, or lyrics convey an emotional message.
- Maintaining a clean, scroll-stopping editing rhythm.

The editing tasks are generally not heavy, with most videos requiring minimal cuts. The key skills we value are precise timing, effective text placement, emotional synchronization, and an intuitive understanding of what drives ad conversion.

REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in video editing software, specifically CapCut.
- Proven experience with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) or direct-response ad editing. Samples of previous work are required.
- A strong sense of timing and the ability to match emotional beats in audio and visuals.
- Excellent written English communication skills for team collaboration.
- Ability to maintain a 48-hour turnaround time per ad.
- Commitment to a minimum of 6 months of engagement.

- Native Spanish language proficiency, as we may expand into Spanish-market campaigns.

350 usd per month. Paid weekly through Workana. Performance bonuses are possible if your edits drive Roas above target.
