Senior Bookkeeper (Remote – Latin America Based)

With a growing portfolio and expanding project pipeline, we’re seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join our remote team and bring precision, consistency, and strategic oversight to our financial processes.

Role Overview
This is a high-responsibility role ideal for a seasoned bookkeeping professional with 5+ years of experience in construction or property management accounting. We’re looking for someone based in Latin America who can work U.S. Hours, manage financial operations with minimal supervision, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s growth.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile accurate financial records for multiple properties and construction projects

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments and tenant invoicing

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions

Prepare and review monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, general ledger)

Handle job costing, project budgeting, and tracking of project expenses

Oversee payroll processing and ensure tax compliance as needed

Assist with month-end close, audit preparation, and year-end reporting

Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure accurate recordkeeping

Work in platforms such as Buildium, AppFolio, and QuickBooks

Qualifications
✔ 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience in construction or property management
✔ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial best practices
✔ Proficiency in Buildium, AppFolio, QuickBooks, or similar tools
✔ Demonstrated experience with job costing, short-term rental accounting, and reporting
✔ High attention to detail and consistency in financial documentation
✔ Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
✔ Self-starter able to work independently and meet deadlines
✔ Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
