I run Alma Asfalto, a bilingual cultural journal based in Mexico City. We are launching a major World Cup feature this week and my current web person is unresponsive. I need someone reliable and fast to step in immediately and execute. This starts TODAY. What needs to be built (simple, sharp, fast): 1) Standalone Feature Page (Priority) Page for: Why Your Country Sucks. This will be its own direct link (primary distribution piece). Must load fast and be easy to open/share on mobile. Clean editorial design (strong typography, New Yorker-style). Spanish first, English second. Tight, continuous reading flow (no clutter). Social share buttons (WhatsApp, X, etc.). 2) Moveable Feast Page (Email Signup) Separate page with concept text. Simple, clean email capture form (Mailchimp/Substack/etc.). Built for conversion but not spammy. 3) Connect Them. Link from feature to Moveable Feast signup page. Natural integration. 4) Full Issue Link (Secondary) Later today, we will have the full issue formatted by the printer. Add a separate link to the complete issue (PDF or page). Keep it clean—feature remains the main entry point. 5) Keep Site Intact. Do NOT break existing site. This sits alongside current structure. Requirements (non-negotiable): You respond fast (same day, ideally within hours). You can start now. You can deliver within 24–72 hours. You understand speed + readability + mobile experience. You don’t disappear. This is NOT for: Agencies, Slow timelines, People juggling too many projects. To apply, send: 2–3 relevant examples (editorial / landing pages), Confirmation you can start immediately. Final note: This piece is being pushed hard during the World Cup. It needs to open instantly, read clean, and spread easily. If it works, there’s ongoing paid work.
