About this project

Open

I’m looking for a skilled video editor fluent in English to create dynamic, engaging videos focused on entertainment, particularly movie reactions, scene analyses, compilations, and reviews.

The workflow will vary:
    1.    Short & Medium-Length Videos (4–12 min)
    •    Sometimes the video will feature me on camera presenting, reacting, or reviewing a scene.
    •    Sometimes we’ll use an AI-generated voice to narrate.
    •    The editor will need to match visuals to the audio — syncing my reactions, analysis, commentary, or countdowns (e.g., “Top 10” style videos).
    2.    Long-Format Full Movie Reactions (1–2 hours)
    •    In these videos, I will really watch the full movie (don’t worry about copyright — we are covered).
    •    Usually, I’ll start with a 2-minute introduction, then watch the movie.
    •    Editing here is easier because, for the most part, it’s just matching my webcam and reactions to some movie scenes.
    •    Sometimes I will pause to give a review, analysis, or criticism.
    •    You will need to cut out mistakes like stutters, technical errors, or dead air.
    •    This type of edit is simpler in style, but takes more time due to the video length.

Extra Requirements:
    •    In some videos, I’ll need translated on-screen text (impact phrases, captions) into Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese.
    •    If you have dubbing experience (e.g., With ElevenLabs or similar), it’s a plus — but not required. If you can’t do dubbing, just handle the text translations.

What I Expect:
    •    Engaging editing style (fast cuts, relevant b-rolls, memes, and movie clips) for shorter videos.
    •    Clean, watchable pacing for long movie reacts.
    •    Good syncing between visuals, audio, and subtitles when needed.
    •    Creativity in making the content appealing to YouTube audiences.

💰 Price Suggestions (USD)

For Short/Medium Videos (4–12 min)
    •    Per Minute Rate: $5/min

For Long Movie Reacts (1–2 hours)
    •    Flat Rate: $90 per full movie reaction video
    •    Reason: Editing is easier (less effects, less b-roll), but takes longer to process and export due to video length.
    •    I can guarantee multiple per month, can negotiate $80 each for a pack of minimum 5 for example.

Project overview

General Context of the Project We are building a YouTube channel focused on entertainment content related to movies — including movie reactions, scene compilations, film analyses, and reviews. The style we’re aiming for is dynamic, engaging, and personality-driven, with a mix of formats: • Short & Medium-Length Videos (4–12 min): Fast-paced edits, relevant b-roll, memes, and clear syncing between presenter/AI voice and the visuals. • Long Movie Reactions (1–2 hours): More straightforward edits where the main job is to sync my live reaction (via webcam) with the movie scenes, cut mistakes, and keep a smooth viewing experience. In addition to English, we may occasionally require translation of on-screen text (impact phrases, captions) into Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese. Dubbing experience is a plus, but not required. We want editors who can match or take inspiration from the energy, style, and pacing of successful YouTube creators in this niche, such as: • The Critical Drinker: https://www.youtube.com/@TheCriticalDrinker • Alex Hefner’s TV & Movie Vault: https://www.youtube.com/@alexhefnerstvmovievault/videos • CinePals: https://www.youtube.com/@CinePals/videos Our goal is to create high-quality, binge-worthy content that keeps audiences engaged and coming back for more.
