Project overview
i need a small, standalone web application that lets users inspect csv files directly in their browsers before importing them into other systems. The tool should provide a clean interface, a basic preview, and a concise validation summary. File contents must remain on the user's device; no backend, database, account system, or paid API is required.

TECHNOLOGY
- SvelteKit for the user interface
- Rust compiled to WebAssembly for the CSV inspection logic
- Basic CSS or Tailwind CSS for styling
- Static-compatible production build suitable for Vercel

functional requirements
1. File selection: Choose a local .csv file using a file input. Maximum supported size: 2 MB.
2. Basic CSV parsing: Support comma-separated files with a header row. Quoted fields containing commas should be handled correctly.
3. Summary: Show filename, row count (excluding the header), column count, and total count of rows with inconsistent field counts.
4. Preview: Display the header and first 20 data rows in a scrollable table.
5. Validation: Identify rows with a different number of fields than the header and display their row numbers. Also count empty cells. A blank field counts as empty; no advanced data-type validation is needed.
6. Error states: Display clear messages for unsupported files, files over 2 mb, and csv parsing failures.
7. Privacy: Perform processing locally in the browser; do not upload file contents.
8. Responsive layout: Provide a usable desktop and mobile interface.

DELIVERABLES
- Complete SvelteKit source code and Rust/WASM module
- Working browser interface with file upload, summary, preview, and validation output
- Sample csv files for a normal and an invalid-row case
- readme with local setup, build, and vercel deployment instructions
- production build verified locally; actual deployment to the client's vercel account is optional and depends on access

acceptance criteria
- a valid csv displays correct row and column counts and the first 20 data rows.
- A CSV containing a row with too few or too many fields reports the affected row.
- Empty cells are counted and shown in the summary.
- Invalid or oversized files produce an understandable error.
- Files are processed in the browser without a server-side upload.
- The project builds successfully for Vercel and includes reproducible instructions.

out of scope
- user accounts, database, authentication, or backend api
- csv editing, automatic correction, json export, or file storage
- complex delimiter detection, large-file streaming, advanced data-type rules, or analytics
- ongoing maintenance after acceptance

notes for applicants
please confirm that you can deliver the specified small mvp within the usd $70 fixed budget and 1–2-day target. Mention your experience with SvelteKit and Rust/WebAssembly, and identify any implementation tradeoffs before starting. The final scope and timeline should be agreed through Workana before work begins.
