Conseguir efecto existente en web

La idea es poder conseguir el mismo efecto/funcion que tiene una web(http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/08/12/guy-opens-garage-finds-9-foot-alligator.html), para implementarlo en una pagina html con bootstrap.
El efecto que preciso puede ser obtenido a través de un plugins jquery incluso.
El funcionamiento es que al cargar una determinada url (Ej: articulo1.html), me muestre algo sencillo con bootstrap, sin escatimar en diseño, con un titulo y parrafos de texto en la columna central. En la columna derecha mostrar un listado de 5 articulos, las cuales deben pintarse a medida que vamos scrolleando. Al llegar al final del articulo 1, por ajax deberia cargar articulo2.html.
Además de cargar por ajax es necesario que la url también se actualice (identico al funcionamiento del enlace que les brindo). Muchas gracias.
