Existe la aplicación Open Source GLPI, la cual trabaja con plugins, dentro de ellos está el plugin FusionInventory, este realiza el inventario de un equipo de cómputo por medio de un agente, p.e. De una impresora conectada a través de un puerto USB trae número de serie, marca, etc., El objetivo es que también extraiga el contador de impresiones y lo envíe al glpi en la tabla de mysql.
