I'm a fractional CFO who works with $5-10M e-commerce brands. I'm growing my business through two content channels: paid video ads on Meta, and a podcast. I need a sharp video editor who stays on top of what's working in short-form content and brings their own creative eye to this - not just someone who cuts footage and exports files.
I handle the strategy, the scripting, and I'm on camera. But I want someone who watches what's performing, has opinions on creative angles, and will occasionally say "hey, have you thought about trying this?"
If you pitch an idea and I like it, I'll film it. We'll test it together. Generating results from your ideas will have a very positive impact on your longer term prospects :)
This starts part-time. If you're good and the work grows, so does the engagement.
What You'll Be Working On
Paid Ad Creatives (priority)
- Edit raw video footage into polished short-form ads for Meta
- Add captions/subtitles (accurate, well-formatted)
- Organize and manage video assets — naming, versioning, exporting in the right formats
- Upload and organize creative in Meta Ads Manager
- Iterate quickly on creative variants based on performance data and feedback
- Proactively suggest new formats, hooks, or angles worth testing
Podcast Clips
- Cut short-form clips (30-90 seconds) from full podcast episodes
- Identify the most compelling moments — the clips that will stop someone mid-scroll
- Make them visually engaging: dynamic cuts, captions, frame changes. Not a static talking head with a logo.
- Format for LinkedIn and potentially other platforms
What I'm Looking For
- Strong video editing skills — my audience is professional/B2B, so the output needs to look sharp and credible, not like a lifestyle brand
- Someone who follows what's performing in short-form content and can translate those trends into actionable ideas for a thought leadership context
- Fast turnaround - I'm building a feedback loop where I test creative quickly. Speed matters.
- A creative opinion. I don't want someone who just waits for instructions. If you see something that could be better, say so.
- Detail-oriented with asset management - I don't want to chase you for files or explain naming conventions twice
- Comfortable with iteration - some things will work, some won't. That's the job.
- Nice to have: Experience editing content for consultants, coaches, or B2B service businesses. You'll understand the tone I'm going for without a lot of hand-holding.
The Details
- Part-time to start (~10-20 hours/week depending on volume)
- Remote, async-friendly - I don't need you in a specific timezone, just responsive and reliable
- Applications without a portfolio or examples of relevant work will not be considered
