Development/Design Of Algorithm And Its Subsequent Simulation For Tracking An Object

Published on the March 02, 2020 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

An algorithm is needed to be written, developed and designed in such a way as to perform the following functions or OBJECTIVES:
1.    Detection of an object, i.e. An unauthorized intruder in a demarcated area, where he is not allowed to have access to.

2.    Facial recognition of the unauthorized intruder and ability to distinguish him from other authorized officers that are allowed into the area for security purposes, or otherwise.
3.    Tracking of the object, i.e. Unauthorized intruder, if found in the demarcated area, with the use of a camera.

METHODS:
Three different types of object tracking algorithms are to be used. These are:
(i)    Kalman Filter Tracking Algorithm,
(ii)    Particle Filter Tracking Algorithm
(iii)    Multiple Hypothesis Tracking Algorithm

simulation results:
the simulation results of these algorithms would be compared to ascertain the best tracking algorithm for the scenario and the one with the best optimal solution, using similar features for their comparisons, i.e. Percentage of their computational time, accuracy, the response of the algorithm, their image resolutions, etc.

Programming language:
the preferred programming language to be used is the c-language or any other flexible language.
