Joomla Web Site - Migrate from Hostpapa shared server to Digital Ocean droplet.

Published on the July 12, 2021 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

We have an existing site created in Joomla 3.9 and hosted in a Hostpapa shared server account that needs to be migrated to a new Digital Ocean´s droplet. The new site should be working flawlessly and be accesible as a virtual host from a desktop computer using Windows before the dns are finally moved and the old site is taken down. It´s not a complicated site, but it should work  correctly.
The final site should have the ability to switch languages, but currently the default language plugin is disabled and the site breaks when enabled, so this needs to be fixed before the dns are updated. A new Digital Ocean Droplet has already been loaded with a copy of the site´s files and the MySQL tables have all been migrated to DO, but the site does not load. The droplet could be recreated if a fresh start is preferred.
An experienced professional should be able to complete the migration in just a few hours, but we are setting a 7 days timeframe to get this done.
If you apply for this job, make sure you are experienced and commited enough to see it through to the end and within the alotted timeframe. Thank you.

Project overview

Get the joomla site: www.bfcarquitectos.com migrated from Hospapa to Digital Ocean with the language plugin active and working in 7 days or less. The site uses a template for which we are no longer suscribed, so no updates will be made available for it. Attention to sofware compatibility is a must.
