Looking for a Beat Writer / Journalist in the Sf Bay Area

We are looking for a beat writer / journalist to join our experienced team of writers on a part-time basis with the opportunity to become a full-time staff writer.

This position is for writers / journalists located in the San Francisco Bay Area only.

this job requires writing about local important events, happenings, and fun things to do in the sf bay area.  You will need to write content based on information sourced on the internet.  Senior writers get the opportunity to travel on location for multiple events weekly to capture media, interviews, insights, etc.

trial phase
we start you off with one article to see what you produce.  If our team likes your first article, we'll give you a batch of 3. If your first 3 are good, you'll get a chance to be part of our part-time team with a steady stream of work consisting of 5-10 articles per week. After a few months, if you're selected, you'll have the opportunity to take on a full-time senior writer position which will include the option to accept on-location projects and a pay raise.

Any on-location projects are paid for at an hourly rate to cover your time.  Are you able to travel to a location in the bay area with your own vehicle?  If so, please provide us with a quote for how much you charge hourly to travel to a location to capture media.
