Micropython Class Development for Esp32 with Bme280 Sensor for Storm Detection

Published on the March 05, 2024 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

Seeking a MicroPython developer skilled in ESP32 programming and familiar with the BME280 environmental sensor. The project aims to create an efficient MicroPython class for ESP32 microcontrollers, using BME280 data to detect approaching storms.

Project overview

MicroPython Class Development: Develop a MicroPython class for easy integration into existing ESP32 projects, facilitating BME280 data communication and interpretation (temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity). Significant Climate Change Detection: The class should analyze BME280 data variations to identify storm-indicating patterns, such as rapid pressure drops or humidity increases. Optimized and Stable Code: Essential for the code to be well-structured, commented, and optimized for both efficient execution and minimal hardware resource consumption. Long-term execution stability is crucial for remote climate monitoring. Documentation and Examples: Provide clear documentation on class usage, including code examples demonstrating ESP32 project integration and data interpretation for storm detection. Developer Qualifications: Experience with MicroPython programming and ESP32 development. Familiarity with environmental sensor data interpretation, preferably BME280. Ability to write clean, optimized, and well-documented code. Good communication skills for understanding project needs and providing regular updates. Project Delivery: The class should be ready and tested within 4 to 6 weeks from project start. If you possess the required skills and experience, please send your proposal with examples of similar past projects, if any, and your approach to this challenge.
