Comunicación y consulta php hacia servicio odbc firebird

Requisito: Probar consultas mediante servidor remoto linux (php) y obtener datos mediante el servicio ODBC en un servidor windows Server R12, la base de datos es Firebird, el servidor cuenta con puertos abiertos y tenemos los datos de conexión.

El servicio estaba funcionando y ahora no podemos realizar consultas, requerimos confirmar tanto la fuente de datos como el proceso de las consultas.
