Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Requirements:
• 3+ Years of experience with Rails.
• Experience with Rails 4+.
• 100% Fluent in English.
• Experience with Automated Testing (tdd & bdd).
• Experience integrating third-party APIs.
• Knowledge of MVC architectures.
• Knowledge of Git and best practices for merging, branching, and pull requests.
• Experience with highly scalable/high traffic solutions.
• Experience integrating front-end design and/or code into back-end system.
• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Experience working with Shopify API is a big plus.

Position details:
• Location: Remote (EST Business hours).
• Contract type: Contractor, long term.
• Full time availability (aprox. 40 hours a week).

Responsibilities:
• Learn and understand business requirements, help architect solutions based on them.
• Write and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
• Identify bugs, and solve problems.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and architecture.
• Integration of user-facing elements with server side logic.
• Breakdown client problems and determine a workable solution.
• Continue learning and growing in emerging web technologies and methodologies.
