Spanish Translator needed to localise animated series

Emmy award-winning preschool animated series seeks a translator to work with us on our localisation process for our Spanish version

The role can include a breadth of responsibilities and tasks. Before completing any tasks we will take you through a thorough onboarding process. Our overall mission is not to localise our series, but rather create a series that feels authentic to our audience within that territory. To achieve this it's key that our translators feel as though they are genuine members of our production team. After onboarding and demonstrating an understanding of our core values, there are a number of tasks we may ask for assistance with that are not limited to but may include:

- Localising or reviewing a previously localised phrase sheet / glossary of terms into Spanish
- Editing previously localised scripts to match our new series, to ensure consistency throughout
- Quality check on anything previously translated in Spanish
- Reformatting scripts in Spanish
- Consulting production on the use of cultural and language differences.
- Assistance in editorial reviews of work in coordination with the company's editorial producer.
- General assistance in the creation of this localised version in Spanish

It is estimated that this project will take roughly 6 months or possibly longer, so a freelancer who is flexible would be ideal. 

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with previous experience in pre-school animation, voice-over, dubbing and/or acting as an understanding and knowledge of this helps in the process.
