This is a contract-based role. Candidates must be based in Bogotá and able to invoice independently with a valid NIT.

About the Role
We are a U.S.-Based ethical fashion studio working with purpose-driven apparel brands across the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. While our Colombian manufacturing partners produce exceptional craftsmanship, inconsistent timelines have disrupted our ability to grow sustainably.
We are seeking a Bogotá-based Apparel Product Developer to take full ownership of production execution on the ground. This is a project-based role with long-term potential, focused on managing factory communication, vendor accountability, sourcing, and enforcing production timelines.
This is not a design or client-facing role. Our founder leads all technical development, including fittings and spec creation. Your responsibility is to ensure what’s been designed gets made—accurately, on time, and to standard.

Key Responsibilities
Communicate directly with Colombian manufacturers and suppliers
Manage and enforce production timelines across styles
Conduct in-person factory visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
Support sourcing of sustainable materials and trims from local vendors
Communicate sample revisions clearly and verify accurate execution
Maintain structured and timely updates to the internal team

This Role Does Not Include
Garment design, spec creation, or fittings
Patternmaking or determining technical adjustments
Client communication or brand development

Vendor Compliance and Documentation
All factories we work with are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Manufacturer Agreement. You will be responsible for:
Ensuring agreements are signed and on file before development begins
Enforcing the terms of the agreement throughout the development process
Reporting any compliance issues or delays immediately

Factory Network and Vendor Development
You will play a key role in expanding and refining our manufacturing network in Colombia.
You should be comfortable:
Introducing and recommending trusted factory partners
Meeting with new vendors and managing onboarding
Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships focused on reliability and communication
This role is for someone who takes initiative, solves problems, and can be relied on to drive execution independently. We are not looking for a coordinator—we are hiring a production partner.

Work Standards and Communication
We value:
Strong project and timeline management skills
Proactive, structured communication—especially when challenges arise
High accountability and follow-through
A solution-focused mindset: every problem has a solution
We don’t expect perfection, but we do expect clarity and ownership.

Compensation and Growth Path
We’re hiring with the intention to build a long-term production partnership.
To begin, this role will start with a paid project-based engagement so we can evaluate workflow, communication, and execution. This allows us to align expectations before scaling together.
Compensation will be set per style or development round, based on scope
If we work well together, we are prepared to transition this into:
A monthly retainer or full-time role
Ongoing leadership of Colombia-based production as we resume client-facing work
