Automated One-Way Calendar Sync for Third-Party Booking Platform

Published on the February 17, 2026 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

I am a teacher who utilizes multiple booking platforms, each with its own calendar. I also maintain a central calendar as my primary source of truth for availability. While two of my booking platforms successfully integrate and sync with my central calendar, a critical third platform lacks this functionality. This third platform cannot read or sync with external calendars, leading to a significant risk of double bookings. If a time slot is booked on another platform and reflected in my central calendar, the third platform still shows that time as available.

I need a reliable solution to automatically block time slots in this third, non-syncing booking platform whenever an event is created or updated in my central calendar. The goal is to ensure that my availability is consistently reflected across all platforms, preventing any scheduling conflicts.

I am open to various technical approaches, including but not limited to:
- Development of custom scripts
- Integration using APIs (if available for the third platform)
- Utilization of existing automation tools
- Creative calendar duplication or iCal workarounds

The ideal freelancer will have experience in calendar integration, API development, and creating robust automation solutions. The primary objective is to establish a seamless, one-way synchronization process from my central calendar to the problematic third-party platform.
