Chromium Core Modification for Advanced Fingerprint Control

Published on the November 15, 2025 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

We are seeking an experienced developer to modify the Chromium source code to implement robust fingerprint control capabilities. The primary objective is to enable comprehensive injection and spoofing hooks for various browser fingerprinting vectors.

Project Scope:

1.  Build the latest stable version of Chromium on multiple operating systems: Windows 10/11, Linux, and macOS (supporting both Intel and Apple M1/M2 architectures).
2.  Integrate API hooks within the Chromium core to allow dynamic modification and spoofing of key fingerprinting attributes, including but not limited to:
    *  WebGL parameters
    *  Canvas rendering data
    *  WebRTC identifiers
    *  Font enumeration
    *  User-Agent strings
3.  Ensure the implemented patch is lightweight and highly maintainable, with a target differential size of less than 10% of the relevant Chromium source files.
4.  Provide detailed, step-by-step instructions for building Chromium from source and applying the modifications across all specified operating systems. This documentation should be clear and easy to follow.
5.  Deliver a fully functional Chromium build that incorporates the fingerprint control features, along with an example demonstration showcasing the ability to apply a custom fingerprint.

Deliverables:

*  Modified Chromium source code or patch files (e.g., Diffs).
*  Comprehensive build and patch application instructions (in Markdown or PDF format).
*  Test build binaries for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Intel & M1/M2).
*  Weekly progress reports to ensure transparency and alignment.
