This project focuses on the modeling and simulation of a Four-Quadrant Three-Phase ac-dc converter used in electric traction systems. Using MATLAB/Simulink, we implemented Field Oriented Control (FOC) of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (pmsm) and integrated it with a bidirectional voltage source converter (vetm) to enable regenerative braking and smooth torque-speed transitions. The system ensures efficient power flow control under motoring and braking operations.
