We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Software Engineer for a contract position. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience across various technologies and a proven track record of building scalable services and APIs. This role involves debugging, performance optimization, and implementing automated testing to ensure high-quality, performant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Conduct thorough debugging and performance analysis to identify and resolve system bottlenecks.
- Implement and maintain automated testing procedures.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.
- Potentially refactor existing codebases and implement complex features in large-scale applications.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following: Java,
Node.js, Go, Rust, Typescript, Python, or C++.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable services and robust APIs.
- Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and automated testing.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational computer science concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
This is a remote contract position, approximately 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.
