Experienced Backend Software Engineer for Remote Contract Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong backend experience in languages such as Java, Node.js, Go, Rust, Typescript, Python, or C++. A proven track record in building scalable services and APIs is essential. Candidates should be comfortable with debugging, performance optimization, and automated testing. Solid code review instincts are also highly valued. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated success in identifying and resolving software bugs and system bottlenecks, experience with codebase refactoring and implementing complex features in large-scale applications, a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and foundational computer science concepts, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills. This is a remote position with a flexible schedule, approximately 15 hours per week.
