We are seeking a highly skilled freelance mobile app developer to take over and launch a children's schedule management application. The app is currently close to completion and requires an experienced professional to finalize development and handle the release process.
The application is designed to help parents create daily schedules for their children, who then carry out tasks throughout the day. In the evening, the app shares the day's progress with parents, allowing them to oversee activities and stay informed. The app must function seamlessly on both iOS and Android platforms.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and understanding the existing codebase and backend infrastructure.
- Ensuring the current app and backend are fully operational.
- Identifying and fixing existing backend API errors.
- Implementing new features as specified by the client.
- Completing any remaining development tasks.
- Thoroughly testing the application on real iOS and Android devices.
- Preparing release builds for both platforms.
- Managing the submission process to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant privacy and data-handling requirements for children's apps, such as coppa and gdpr.
We are looking for a developer with a proven track record of successfully publishing mobile applications on both major app stores. Strong expertise in backend development and rest api integration is essential, along with significant experience in debugging and improving existing codebases. Familiarity with push notifications, managing parent and child user roles, authentication mechanisms, and children's privacy regulations (coppa, gdpr) will be a strong advantage. Excellent English communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued.
