Expert Prestashop Performance Optimization and Testing on Staging Environment

We are looking for an experienced PrestaShop developer to complete a small, controlled performance optimisation task on a staging environment only.

This is a technical evaluation task. If successful, this may lead to ongoing structured work.

Scope (Staging Environment Only):

Remove redundant third-party tracking scripts (provided list).

Implement conditional loading for a third-party SDK so it loads only on:

Product pages (PDP)

Checkout pages

Ensure no JavaScript errors occur.

Ensure checkout flow remains fully functional.

Provide before/after performance metrics including:

Total JS weight

Total transfer size

Lighthouse mobile score

Brief summary of what was changed

Requirements:

Strong PrestaShop experience (theme + module understanding).

Experience with JavaScript load order (async / defer / conditional loading).

Familiar with Lighthouse / Chrome DevTools.

Experience working on live ecommerce sites without breaking checkout.

Important:

This work must be done carefully and methodically.

You must explain your approach before making changes.

Clear English communication is required.
