Full-Stack Developer (React / Next.js / Node.js / Electron) – 6-Month Contract (Latam)

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Developer based in Latin America to join our engineering team on a 6-month contract.
In this role, you will take ownership of our desktop application, maintaining, improving, and expanding its functionality while ensuring high performance and reliability. You will work across the entire product stack, including Electron, React/Next.js, Node.js, and desktop application architecture.
You will collaborate closely with backend, blockchain, and AI engineers to integrate new capabilities into the product while maintaining clean architecture and high code quality.

Responsibilities
•    Maintain and enhance an existing production application.
•    Develop new features using React or Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and Electron.
•    Design and implement scalable frontend and backend solutions.
•    Work with Electron main and renderer processes, IPC communication, preload scripts, and context isolation.
•    Build and maintain REST APIs and frontend/backend integrations.
•    Manage application state, local persistence, sessions, and asynchronous workflows.
•    Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
•    Participate in code reviews and collaborate through Git pull requests.
•    Contribute to technical documentation and engineering best practices.
•    Identify the correct integration points before implementing new functionality.
•    Collaborate with blockchain and AI engineers to integrate their services into the application.
Required Qualifications
•    5+ years of professional software development experience.
•    Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
•    Strong experience with React and frameworks such as Next.js.
•    Professional experience building and maintaining Node.js applications.
•    Experience working on existing production codebases.
•    Strong understanding of frontend/backend integration, REST APIs, asynchronous programming, state management, and local data persistence.
•    Solid experience with Electron desktop application development.
•    Experience with local file operations and cross-platform desktop development.
•    Familiarity with Electron packaging, electron-builder, and desktop release processes.
•    Strong Git workflow, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
•    Ability to understand an existing architecture and extend it cleanly.
•    Professional written and spoken English.
