We are seeking an experienced L1 IT/Desktop Support Engineer (FREELANCERS) to provide comprehensive technical assistance for our local and overseas users. The primary responsibilities include desktop support for Windows 7 and 10 environments, as well as installation, management, and support for Windows, MacBook operating systems, and mobile device management. The role involves installing desktop OS, messaging clients, and various applications such as Adobe Acrobat and engineering software, along with configuring PCs and managing peripherals. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving desktop incidents, managing disk and folder sharing, and handling printer problems. Key tasks also include performing workstation os patching and anti-virus patching, assisting in it equipment procurement, and managing all installations, un-installations, cascades, moves, adds, and changes for deskside equipment and software. The role requires deployment, refresh, and decommissioning of user workstations using approved images, coordinating printer delivery and installation, and providing 1st level helpdesk and onsite troubleshooting support. Remote support for euc users, software packaging with administrative rights, and application deployment on pc and mobile devices are also critical. The successful candidate will resolve incidents in a timely manner according to severity levels, coordinate with the Service Desk for level 2 and 3 support, and provide standby support for Severity 2 incidents. Additional duties include managing Symantec av server, manning the vip standby mobile phone, and configuring vpn and nas.
