Personal Brand & Content Assistant (Part-Time, Mexico City)

Published on the March 07, 2025 in Writing & Translation

About this project

Open

I’m seeking a part-time content assistant to help build my personal brand on LinkedIn (and occasionally other channels), with an audience of public transit professionals. This includes:
- Drafting, editing, and polishing LinkedIn posts.
- Creating and maintaining a content calendar to ensure consistent posting.
- Keeping me accountable to deadlines (weekly/monthly content goals).
- Providing input on brand-building opportunities (e.g., Engagement strategies, blog posts, etc.).

I generally prioritize quality over quantity, but that has led to almost zero quantity being put out there. I need you to help pull me towards more quantity, but I will always retain the oversight of quality and will expect you to put together insightful, relevant content aligned with my vision.

Project Details
Hours: ~8 hours per week (flexible schedule).
Rate: Fixed monthly budget of $5000 MXN.

Language: Native-level English required.
Term: Ongoing monthly arrangement (long-term potential).

Please submit:
- A brief intro about your background and relevant experience.
- Two or more writing samples that show your skill (LinkedIn posts, articles, etc.).
- A note on how you stay organized with content deadlines.

Project overview

I’m a Canadian professional living in Mexico City, working in the public transit space at a private technology firm on a path towards consultancy. I am looking to grow my personal brand and share thought leadership. My target audience are public transit professionals in the US and Canada. My main channel is LinkedIn, but I may also write occasional blog posts on Medium. My thought leadership around "One Transit" has been picked up across the industry in APTA (American Public Transit Association), TRB (the Transportation Research Board), and CTA (California Transit Association). While I work extremely well in small groups and face-to-face, my public persona is weak as social media is not my strength. I have attached some recent abstracts I have submitted, and a blog post I have written to give you an overview of my position. Why This is a Great Opportunity - Flexible, part-time role with a steady monthly income. - Chance to develop thought leadership content for a growing personal brand. - Work closely with me to shape content strategy, while also learning about public transit and mobility. - Opportunity for long-term collaboration with performance-based incentives down the line. I need someone proactive, creative, and well-organized, who can make sure we stick to a consistent posting schedule. It would be great if you can proactively turn my ideas into engaging, polished content, or recycle previous content into punchy new media. If you’re interested in helping me transform how public transit is delivered across North America, this role is for you!
