We’re upgrading a Magento website for a retail client and require a Manual QA Engineer to support functional testing, bug tracking, and regression testing. You’ll be responsible for validating key user flows, identifying inconsistencies, and logging clear, actionable defects in Jira. The site is mid-upgrade, so we need someone detail-oriented and comfortable testing in an evolving staging environment.

The ideal candidate has prior experience testing Magento or other eCommerce platforms, is confident communicating findings to dev teams, and can work independently. Testing will include desktop and mobile versions.

Project overview

We’re a UK-based digital agency working with a long-standing eCommerce client. This project is a Magento 2 upgrade and includes new features, theme adjustments, and integrations. Our internal dev team is managing the build — we need QA support to free up engineering time and catch issues earlier. This is a short-term freelance engagement with potential for ongoing QA work across other platforms and clients (Shopify, Drupal, custom PHP).
