We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify expert with a strong combination of design acumen, structural thinking, and technical proficiency to undertake a significant upgrade of our existing Shopify store. Our primary objective is to rebuild and rebrand our current store (
shopcontrol.be) into a modern, high-converting platform on
shopcontrol.eu, which will also include a dedicated French subsite at
shopcontrol.eu/fr.
Key objectives for this project include:
Domain Migration:
* Seamlessly migrate our existing domain from
shopcontrol.be to
shopcontrol.eu.
* Establish a fully functional French subsite at
shopcontrol.eu/fr.
* Implement proper 301 redirects for all old URLs to ensure SEO continuity and prevent loss of search engine rankings.
* Update DNS settings and Google Search Console (access will be provided).
Theme & Design Enhancements:
* Upgrade our current Shopify theme (Impact) to its latest version.
* Refresh the overall layout, typography, and spacing to achieve a modern and cohesive visual identity.
* Ensure all sector-specific images and banners are professionally aligned with a retail-focused aesthetic.
Navigation & Structure Optimization:
* Develop clear and intuitive navigation pathways.
* Create dedicated sector pages for various retail categories, including supermarkets, fashion, pharmacies, second-hand stores, leather goods, DIY, baby stores, sports stores, and bookstores.
* Set up user-friendly links for both Dutch (.eu) and French (.eu/fr) visitors.
Content Optimization for Conversion:
* Improve headings, product descriptions, and call-to-action (CTA) buttons to enhance readability and conversion rates.
* Provide assistance with creating SEO-friendly titles, alt texts for images, and meta descriptions.
* Utilize placeholder text for content where translations are not yet finalized.
Small Automations & Integrations:
* Verify and ensure correct functionality of checkout shipping rules for Belgium and the Netherlands.

⚙️ You’re the right person if you:
Have proven experience designing and managing Shopify stores (Impact or similar premium themes).
Can handle domain migration and 301 redirects without breaking SEO.
Know how to make a store look and feel professional for B2B clients.
Write clear and compelling English (bonus if you also understand Dutch or French).
Can deliver fast and independently, with clear communication and realistic deadlines.
