Short Film (2 minutes

Project Overview:
We are seeking a talented freelance film editor to help finish our short film, "ChatGPT: Hot Girl Summer". The film is already filmed and has a total length of 2 minutes. The material is ready for editing, and we need someone with expertise in audio editing and the potential addition of a narrator to enhance the storytelling. The film tells the story of three friends embarking on a "Hot Girl Summer" after discovering that they’ve all been dating the same jerk, and they seek guidance from ChatGPT.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit the video footage into a compelling 2-minute short film that effectively conveys the drama, heartbreak, and self-discovery themes.

Work closely with the team to ensure the tone remains serious, dystopian, and dramatic throughout the film.

Audio editing: Clean up audio, sync sound with the video, and balance the levels to create a clear and engaging auditory experience.

Incorporate sound effects where necessary to enhance the narrative (e.g., For ChatGPT’s involvement, AI interaction, etc.).

Also looking for help to add a narrator or voiceover to tie together the story or provide extra context, if needed.

Add music and sound design that complements the emotional tone and creates a cohesive viewing experience.

Ensure the visuals, audio, and narration (if included) work seamlessly together to deliver the intended dramatic impact.

Requirements:

Proven experience in film editing, specifically with short films or drama content.

Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools).

Strong skills in audio editing, including noise reduction, syncing, and mixing to ensure professional-quality sound.

Experience with narration or voiceover integration is a plus, as the project may require a narrator to add to the storytelling.

Ability to work with pre-filmed material and incorporate the director’s vision while adding your own creative touch.

Availability to meet deadlines and deliver the final product on time in 1 week and a half.

Preferred:

Experience with dystopian or experimental editing styles.
