Wc vendors plugin shipping customization

About this project

Open

We will be selling 2 kinds of items: dry and frozen goods.  We are using WC Vendors and Table Rate Plugin by Plugin Pros. We as admin of the site, would like to have full control and set these settings with the following points to consider:

Delivery couriers have a maximum limit of 10 kilos.
They have a different price for items weighing 3 kilo or 5 kilo or 10 kilo.

We will set delivery courier “A” for example, incharge of dry items. Courier “A” has also the option to deliver dry items within 1 to 3 days.

We will set delivery courier “B” for example, in charge of frozen items. But when a customer puts in his cart both frozen items with dry items, automatically these items will be assigned to courier “B”. Courier “B” will also be the only option if a customer wants a rush, same day delivery.

We will charge a cheaper fee for dry items. Frozen items will be at a fixed rate including rush same day delivery.

The message below is from Plugin Pros. What do you think about it?

That depends on exactly what your ideal shipping system looks like. If you like the overall way trs works and just want vendors to be able to specify a "dry rate" and "frozen rate" for each tier in a shipping table, then you'd probably want the developer to customize trs.
If on the other hand you prefer the WC Vendors shipping system, then you'd probably want them to customize the WC Vendors Vendor Shipping system. Either way the developer would have to do a few things to achieve what you're asking for:

1. Add a checkbox on the Edit Product screen where a seller can select whether a product is frozen.

2. Update the interface for adding table rates to include two rate inputs instead of one - one for the "dry rate" and one for the "frozen rate".
3. Update the shipping calculation code to apply the frozen rate if a product is frozen (i.e. The checkbox mentioned in step 1 is checked) or the dry rate otherwise. Add additional code to apply an extra handling fee for frozen products.

Hopefully that helps to point you in the right direction.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
