Woocommerce / Wordpress Developer – Ongoing Site Maintenance & Support

We are a web development team handling multiple WooCommerce and WordPress projects. We’re looking for a dependable developer to join us on a long-term basis and help keep our sites running smoothly, securely, and efficiently. What you’ll be doing: Perform regular maintenance: safely update plugins, themes, and the WordPress core (with proper backups). Monitor sites for errors, downtime, and broken functionality; promptly address any issues. Debug and resolve problems with checkout flows, payment gateways, and product pages. Handle small content updates and layout tweaks on request. Maintain security: run malware scans, apply security patches, and manage spam protection. Optimise site speed and database performance (caching, cleanup, image compression). Troubleshoot conflicts after updates and roll back changes when necessary. Required skills: Solid, hands-on experience with WooCommerce and WordPress (especially maintenance and debugging). Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, html/css. Familiarity with the WooCommerce hook system and template override mechanism. Experience with backups, staging environments, and safe deployment workflows. Comfortable using Git and writing clean, maintainable code. Reliable communication, a methodical approach, and strong attention to detail. Nice to have: Experience with hosting panels (cPanel, Plesk) and basic server administration. Ability to improve page speed and Core Web Vitals. Knowledge of security tools like Wordfence, Sucuri, etc. Familiarity with ACF, Elementor, or other common page builders.
