Published on the April 24, 2020 in IT & Programming

About this project

Open

My website will have 4 servers. 3 servers are Server A,B and C (replication server that store data) -DONE already
Your job is..
To setup Server D or i call it as Monitor. It will use Heart beat node to receive the “life” for each servers. If one server down..
.

The ip will be passed to the neighbour server. To make sure the user can still use  the website without knowing the server is down. The monitor will assign an virtual ip to the neighbour servers.
So for example server A failed. Monitor will assign virtual ip A to B. If we check ipconf for server, it will have 2 ip now.
Virtual ip A and its own ip.

The monitor will always checking the "life". When server A is "up" again. It will pass back the ip to A.

My supervisor already did this in linux OS. I have the example coding and outcome if you want to take a look. I dont which language or OS you want to use.
But currently im using php because im doing website project for data replication.

Btw im doing all of this is Vmware.
