1.0 INTRODUCTION

The meaning of mobile application (mobile app) is a type of application software designed to run on a mobile device, such as smartphones or a tablet computer (Technopedia, 2017). Mobile application frequently serves to provide users with similar services to a desktop application that run on PCs, and with a web application that runs in mobile web browsers rather than directly on the mobile devices. The term "app" is a shortening of the term "software application" (Wikipedia, n.d).

Apps are generally small, individual software units with limited function. Mobile apps are designed with consideration for the demands and constraints of the devices and also to take advantage of any specialized capabilities they have. They turn mobile devices into miniature powerhouses of function and fun.

Mobile apps are sometimes categorized according to whether they are web-based or native apps, which are an application program that has been developed for use on a particular platform or device. The other category, which is a hybrid apps, combines elements of both web-based and native apps (SearchSoftwareQuality, 2011). Native applications are developed for a specific platform and installed on a computing device.

Web applications are generalized for multiple platforms and not installed locally, but made available over the Internet through a browser. Hybrid apps are often mentioned in the context of mobile computing.
The mobile app is the easiest to take a PC-based application and sent it to your mobile device. If mobile apps become more robust, this technique becomes less. More sophisticated approaches involve a specific development for the mobile environment, with advantages and disadvantages.

The mobile application was originally offered to the general productivity and retrieve information, including e-mail, calendar, contacts, the stock market and weather information. However, the availability of tools developers and the public demand to encourage the rapid development in the categories, such as those run by the desktop application software packages. As with other software, the explosion in the number and variety of applications makes the discovery challenge, which in turn leads to the creation of various suggestions, suggestions, and curative resources, including blogs, magazines and dedicated online discovery services.


An effective mobile application management can assist organizations in delivering value-added contents and services. E-Aduan is service to file a comments/ suggestions/ recommendations or complaints to help the users improve kuptm kl. 2.0    Project Scope

This project scope is focused on the students, lecturer, and staff kuptm kl. The project can design and develop the mobile apps to record the complaint, comment, and suggestion that made by the student and staffs. Besides that, the core functionality of the mobile apps is to enable the students and staffs of kuptm kl to implement complaint and suggestion via mobile apps with an improved feature in the existing apps.


This study is focused on kuptm kl service in handling complaints. The process of the framework is the beginning of the user's complaint statement until the result of the complaint feedback and performance improvement. A complaint refers to an expression of dissatisfaction, from the user about the service, action or decision that provided by kuptm kl.

A suggestion refers to an idea or proposal to enhance the performance of kuptm kl service, action or decision.
Lastly, the scope of KUPTM Complaint Maintenance Mobile App is as listed:

3.0 Target User

3.1 Student
Student can log in to access the app, can view the main page, make the complaint and save the report. Other than that, the student also can check the status complaint either the complaint has been proceeding or not. This app provided the user manual to guide the student to use the app and after that, the student can log out from the app after making the complaint.







4.2  Academic and Non-Academic Staff
Staff can login to access the app, can view the main page, make the complaint and save the report. Other than that, staff also can check the status complaint either the complaint have been proceeding or not. This app provided the user manual to guide the staff to use the app and after that, staff can log out from the app after making the complaint.



4.3  Administrator
Admin can login to access the app, can view the main page, manage the user complaint either want to update, delete or add data and can save the data complaint in the database. Other than that, admin can process the complaint to the head of department and can log out from the app after managing the user complaint.

4.4  Head of Department
Head of the department can receive the complaint from the admin to proceed the complaint and also can generate a report by the department by every month
6.0  Security Scope

5.1 Authentication Access
Add some element security in this app by using the two-factor authentication for user login and the used of two-factor authentication is first the basic of login and the second login using information of parents.

5.2 Encryption
Encryption technique used to encrypt or hide data user in database server to protect data from leakage and duplicate by an unauthorized user. According to Margaret Rouse (n.d), which from a normal text or other type of data is converted from a legible form to a coded version that can be decoded by another entity if they have access to the decoding key.
