End-to-End Sage Intacct Data Integration and Executive Dashboards

We are looking for an experienced freelancer or small consultancy to deliver an end-to-end integration between Sage Intacct and Microsoft Power BI(preferable).

Our goal is to automate data extraction and synchronization from Sage Intacct (using API and/or a suitable connector) and build executive financial dashboards in Power BI(or other option) that reduce reliance on manual spreadsheets.

This is a fixed-price project, expected to run for approximately 6 months, with delivery through milestones. All communication and documentation should be in English.

Scope & Key Deliverables
1) Automated Data Integration (No manual CSV)
- Design and implement a reliable automated data pipeline from Sage Intacct into Power BI(preferable).
- Use Sage Intacct API and/or an appropriate connector (direct connector or via a staging database/data warehouse).
- Avoid manual CSV exports/imports as part of the ongoing process.

2) Data Model (Performance + Scalability)
- Build a robust analytical model (ideally star schema) suitable for finance reporting.
- Create documented calculations (DAX measures) for KPIs and reporting logic.
- Ensure the model supports drill-down and good performance at scale.

3) Executive Power BI Dashboards (Finance + Board)
Create interactive dashboards covering, at minimum:
- Revenue
- Expenses
- Profit / profitability
- Budget/Forecast vs Actual (variance analysis)
- Trends over time and key KPIs
- Drill-down by region, entity, and time period
Important business requirement (to be confirmed in discovery):
Board reporting should support “per-hour” views (e.g., Revenue per hour, profit per hour, total hours volume). The exact source of “hours” (timesheets/system/export) will be clarified with our finance team during requirements gathering, and your solution should accommodate the agreed source.

4) Collaboration & Validation
- Work closely with our internal finance team to gather requirements and validate calculations.
- Reconcile key outputs against Sage Intacct reports for agreed sample periods.

5) Documentation & Handover
Provide clear documentation and handover, including:
- Architecture overview and setup steps
- Data model documentation (tables, relationships, kpi definitions, dax measures)
- refresh schedule/how to maintain and extend
- final handover session (online)

refresh / automation expectations
- dashboards must refresh automatically (at least daily, ideally multiple times per day, depending on feasibility and cost).
- Proposal should explain refresh approach (Power BI Service, gateways, incremental refresh, API limits, monitoring, etc.).

Preferred Skills / Experience
- Proven Sage Intacct integration experience (api/connector) or similar finance erp → bi integrations
- advanced power bi (power query, dax, data modeling, performance)
- data engineering / etl (optional, but a plus if proposing staging db/dwh)
- experience building executive finance dashboards (cfo/board-level)
no formal certifications required — we value demonstrable experience and strong delivery.
