Bookkeeper (Remote, Portuguese Independent Professional)

We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Portuguese independent professional to handle bookkeeping and financial analysis for a U.S.-Based consulting and coaching business and our founder’s personal finances.
This role is ideal for someone who is excited and willing to learn U.S. Accounting and tax rules, is tech-savvy, and has financial analysis skills. If you dream of setting up your own bookkeeping and accounting business, this is a great opportunity to grow your expertise with hands-on experience and training in U.S. GAAP and tax regulations.
What you’ll do:
Manage bookkeeping: Categorize expenses, reconcile bank statements, and handle A/R & A/P
Track investments: Review and organize brokerage statements for stocks, equity, and cryptocurrency
Prepare financial reports: Support U.S. Tax filings and financial decision-making
Maintain compliance: Ensure accuracy in U.S. (And some Portuguese) tax and accounting regulations
Conduct financial analysis: Provide insights to improve financial workflows and forecasting
Who you are:
✅ Fluent in English (written and spoken)
✅ Undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
✅ Tech-savvy—comfortable with Excel, AI tools, and online platforms
✅ Excited to learn U.S. Accounting and tax rules to expand your expertise
✅ A detail-oriented, proactive problem solver
✅ Familiar with investing basics (stocks, equity, cryptocurrency)
✅ Self-taught and eager to grow, with an interest in entrepreneurship
✅ Passionate about building long-term client relationships and adding value
✅ Familiar with basic coding (a plus, but not required)
We’ll help you develop your skills through hands-on experience and online courses in:
U.S. GAAP Accounting & Tax
QuickBooks Online (great if you already know it!)
Online payment tools (e.g., Stripe)
Payroll management (e.g., Gusto)
Entrepreneurship & business operations
