About this project

Open

We are seeking an experienced mobile game developer or a small game development team to build MindQuest, a fantasy-style mobile/tablet game for children aged 5 to 12. MindQuest is designed as a game-based developmental and cognitive platform, making assessment feel like an adventure rather than a test. Children will choose a hero, explore a magical world, complete age-based mini-games, and be guided by Questie, a wizard helper character. The game focuses on developing and assessing a wide range of skills, including: cognitive / general reasoning, pattern recognition, memory, attention, linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, spatial intelligence, emotional and social understanding, problem solving, planning, learning transfer, and soft skills such as persistence, flexibility, and strategy use. A core feature of MindQuest is its background gameplay data capture system. The platform must record structured performance data such as accuracy, response time, retries, hints used, consistency, and problem-solving patterns. This data will be utilized to generate comprehensive student intelligence and learning potential reports for parents and educators. If a child consistently demonstrates advanced potential, the platform should facilitate a recommendation for further professional evaluation. We have already developed a full product concept, including heroes / playable characters, the Questie helper character, narrative and visual direction, a mini-game framework, all mini-game scenarios for ages 5 to 12, age progression logic, and detailed gameplay and assessment ideas. This is not an early-stage idea; we require a developer capable of transforming a well-developed concept into a high-quality, scalable product. We intend to begin with an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or a first playable version, with subsequent development phases to follow. Please include the following in your proposal: a relevant portfolio, examples of similar games or applications you have developed, your recommended game engine or framework, a proposed timeline, your budget expectations, whether you work solo or as part of a team, and your approach to developing the MVP.
