We are seeking an experienced Shopify app developer to build a comprehensive subscription and billing system for our existing embedded Shopify application. The primary objective is to deliver a seamless subscription experience for merchants, encompassing a wide range of features.
Key functionalities required include:
- Support for free trials
- Implementation of recurring billing
- Handling of plan upgrades and downgrades
- Robust subscription management capabilities
- Automatic access control based on the merchant's billing status
The system must support both monthly and annual subscription plans. The development should cover the entire billing lifecycle, including the billing approval flow, subscription verification, and efficient webhook handling for various payment events. Furthermore, the solution needs to manage payment statuses effectively and incorporate secure route protection for premium features within the application.
We expect the implementation to strictly adhere to Shopify's best practices, include comprehensive error handling, and be production-ready upon completion. The system should also facilitate test payments during the development phase.
