Expert Next.js Code Audit for Clinic Platform with Real-time Features

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented developer to perform a comprehensive code audit of an existing clinic platform that connects patients with doctors. The platform is built using Next.js and incorporates WebSocket functionality for real-time communication. The current codebase has already been developed by another engineer, and we are now looking for an independent review to ensure code quality, performance, scalability, and security. Scope of work includes: Review the overall architecture and project structure; Analyze code quality, readability, and maintainability; Identify potential bugs, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks; Evaluate the implementation of WebSocket communication; Check best practices for Next.js (ssr, api routes, optimization, etc.); Review authentication, data handling, and security measures; Assess scalability and readiness for production. Deliverables include: A detailed audit report outlining findings, issues, and risk levels; Clear recommendations for improvements and refactoring; Prioritized action list for fixes and optimizations. We will provide full access to the existing source code. In some cases, you may be asked to implement or assist with critical fixes identified during the audit. We are looking for someone who can not only identify issues but also provide practical, actionable solutions. Experience with healthcare-related platforms or real-time applications is a plus.
