About the Project: We’ve launched a working MVP for a platform that helps parents in Houston discover and book kids’ birthday venues. The current version is built in WordPress + Airtable and has received positive early traction.
Now, we’re ready to move beyond mvp and rebuild the platform from the ground up — with a modern codebase, improved ui/ux, and better performance.
What We Have Now:
- A live MVP on WordPress
- Airtable backend with ~60+ venues and package data
- Connected domain, email, and visual brand
- Basic filtering, venue pages, and outbound click tracking
- Clear roadmap for next phases
What We Need From You: We're looking for a freelance full-stack developer (or small team) to build a custom-coded version of our platform using a modern tech stack. The project should be optimized for scalability, speed, and low maintenance using clean architecture (e.g., React + Firebase/Supabase or similar).
Phase 1 – Core Platform Features
- Dynamic venue listing grid, styled with clean UI
- Custom filters (theme, location, age range, indoor/outdoor, etc.)
- Map-based search (Google Maps or Leaflet)
- Individual venue pages with packages and details
- Mobile-first, responsive layout
- Click tracking to external booking pages (UTM or custom tracking)
- Airtable (or alternative CMS) integration for venue data
- Simple admin/editor interface to update venue data
Phase 2 – AI Assistant (“Party Genie”)
- Frontend form that collects party needs (e.g. Age, theme, number of guests)
- Integration with OpenAI (ChatGPT API) to generate a personalized party plan
- Suggestions include venue matches, themed add-ons, DIY ideas
- Display suggestions in clean format or email to user
- Optional: lead capture or feedback button
Phase 3 – Vendor Tools & Monetization
- Let vendors “claim” their listing and request edits
- Optional vendor dashboard for uploading packages/images
- Featured listing control (admin side)
- Basic analytics/report: views, clicks, leads sent
- Optional Stripe integration (booking fee or subscription in later phase)
- Future flexibility to support reviews, calendars, or messaging
Design Goals:
- Clean, playful but professional
- Strong mobile UX (most users are parents browsing on phones)
- Performance-optimized and scalable
- We'll share current design elements (logo, palette)
Tech Preferences:
- You're free to propose your preferred stack, but please optimize for:
- Simplicity in future maintenance
- Use of lightweight, serverless-friendly architecture if possible
Suggestions include:
- React /

- Supabase / Firebase or similar backend
- Google Maps or Leaflet for map search
- OpenAI for GPT assistant logic
- Airtable (if keeping the current structure) or CMS/database alternative
