Keeping detailed case notes
Managing multiple unfinished tasks at once
We are not looking for someone who waits for a supervisor to assign every next step.
We are looking for someone who can work within established procedures, identify what remains outstanding, follow up, document what happened, and escalate problems when necessary.
How to Apply
Please answer all five questions thoughtfully. Generic or incomplete responses will not be considered.
1.
You asked a client for three documents on Monday. On Thursday, the client sends only one of the three documents and does not mention the other two. Walk us through exactly what you would do next.
2.
You receive a USCIS or immigration court notice that you do not fully understand. What steps would you take before doing anything with the case?
3.
A client has not responded to three calls and two messages, and the case has an upcoming deadline. What would you do next, and how would you document and escalate the situation?
4.
How do you personally keep track of multiple unfinished tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups? Please describe the actual system or process you use rather than simply saying that you prioritize or make a to-do list.
5.
Describe your experience, if any, working with U.S. Immigration law, U.S. Law firms, immigration forms, or legal case-management software. Then give one specific example of a time you noticed that something had been missed or was not moving as it should and explain what you did.
By applying, you are confirming that you are fluent in Spanish, comfortable making repeated client follow-up calls, and consistently available during our required Eastern Time working hours.
Please do not send a generic proposal. We will be reviewing your answers carefully.
