We are seeking a highly experienced and reliable WordPress developer for a long-term engagement focused on providing continuous maintenance and technical support for several WooCommerce websites. This is an ongoing opportunity for a dedicated professional to ensure our online stores remain secure, stable, and perform optimally. The primary responsibilities for this role include: Keeping WordPress core, plugins, and themes consistently updated to ensure security and compatibility. Proactively troubleshooting website errors and resolving functionality issues across all platforms. Addressing and fixing WooCommerce-specific problems related to checkout processes, payment gateways, and product management. Implementing robust security measures, performing regular maintenance, and preventing malware infections. Optimizing website speed, managing caching solutions, and enhancing database performance for a seamless user experience. Executing small design adjustments or content updates as requested by our team. Diagnosing and resolving complex plugin or theme compatibility conflicts. Establishing and maintaining reliable backup procedures, ensuring all updates are deployed safely and without disruption. We require a freelancer with solid commercial experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development. Essential technical skills include strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, html, and css. The ideal candidate must be confident working on live production websites and possess experience with Git and local or staging development environments. Excellent problem-solving abilities and reliable communication are paramount. Familiarity with tools such as Elementor and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), as well as cPanel, Plesk, or basic Linux/VPS administration, would be a significant advantage.
