We are seeking a talented 3D artist to design and develop a unique main character for our upcoming 3D multiplayer video game. The game focuses on mines, exploration, physics-based interactions, and engaging player dynamics. The character will serve as the game's primary mascot, requiring a design that is not only original but also highly charismatic, memorable, and easily recognizable for potential merchandising, cosplay, and 3D printing. The visual concept is a small, cute miner/explorer. Key design elements include a padded suit, a distinctive helmet with a large visor, and a simple yet expressive face. The overall aesthetic should be friendly, stylized, and optimized for game integration, moving away from realism towards a charming, chibi-like proportion that remains fully functional for physics-driven movement. The successful freelancer will be responsible for creating the 3D model in Blender, ensuring proper rigging for animation, and preparing the character for seamless integration into Godot 4.x. A crucial aspect of this project is implementing an active ragdoll physical behavior, similar to the dynamic and humorous physics seen in games like PEAK. We will provide reference images to guide the general style and mood, but we emphasize the need for a completely original design. The goal is to capture the readability, simplicity, and broad appeal characteristic of successful viral indie game characters.
