We are seeking an experienced developer to significantly increase the speed of our image generation process for a WordPress eCommerce website. Currently, our system integrates with the OpenAI API to generate product images. Following this, 28 individual frames are created from each generated image for display on the website. The current workflow takes approximately 1 minute for OpenAI image generation and an additional 3 minutes for frame creation, resulting in a total processing time of 4-5 minutes per product. Our goal is to achieve a 10x improvement in speed, reducing the total time per product to under 30 seconds. The project involves identifying bottlenecks, optimizing the OpenAI API integration, and drastically improving the efficiency of the 28-frame generation process. We are looking for solutions that may include parallel processing, caching strategies, or alternative image processing techniques to meet this aggressive performance target.
