Brazilian Translator and Security

Job Description:

I’m an American entrepreneur traveling from the United States to Colniza, Mato Grosso, Brazil for a 3-week visit. The purpose of my trip is to oversee my coffee farm and support the early-stage development of a local agricultural cooperative I co-founded. The area is rural and still developing, and I’ll be traveling to multiple remote farms and attending agricultural events.

I’m looking for a fluent Portuguese-speaking translator who can also act as a personal companion with a strong sense of situational awareness and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide real-time English ↔ Portuguese interpretation during meetings, farm visits, and conferences

Assist in daily communication and interactions

Accompany me at all times to ensure smooth navigation and reduce language barriers

Remain vigilant and help mitigate risks related to theft, scams, or potential safety concerns

Assist with general personal security and situational awareness, including being mindful of surroundings and helping avoid risky situations

Important:

Transportation and logistics are covered by a trusted local friend, so you will not need to drive or coordinate travel.

This role is primarily about translation, support, and personal safety, someone who is street-smart, alert, and calm under pressure.

Ideal Candidate:

Fluent in Portuguese and English

Reliable and professional demeanor

Physically capable of accompanying me through rural terrain and long travel days

Prior experience in travel support, field work, or basic security awareness

Comfortable in rural, underdeveloped environments

Familiarity with agriculture or farming is a plus
