Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing:

📌 Bookkeeping & Account Management

Categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate ledgers

Identify discrepancies and make necessary account adjustments

Conduct monthly reviews to ensure financial accuracy

📌 Client Support & Communication

Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients

Provide clear, empathetic guidance via chat, email, and phone

Build meaningful relationships with small business owners

📌 Problem Solving & Ownership

Proactively identify and resolve issues

Take full ownership of client satisfaction and deliverables

Collaborate across teams using tools like Bench App, Salesforce, and Slack



Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:

2+ years of U.S. Bookkeeping or tax filing experience

Strong communication skills and customer service mindset

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar software

Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive attitude

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Requirements:

Must be based in the Philippines and able to work North American business hours (9 am – 5 pm est or pst)

must meet bench’s minimum hardware and internet requirements to effectively run our tools and systems

Project overview

This is a client-facing bookkeeping role that blends technical accounting work with relationship management. You’ll be responsible for: Accurately maintaining financial records (bookkeeping, reconciliation, discrepancy resolution). Acting as the primary point of contact for your assigned small business clients. Providing customer support through multiple channels (chat, email, phone). Proactively identifying and solving issues to ensure client satisfaction. Using digital tools (e.g., Bench App, Salesforce, Slack) to collaborate internally and deliver high-quality work. Ideal Candidate: Has at least 2 years of experience in U.S. Bookkeeping or tax. Is detail-oriented and tech-savvy. Comfortable with cloud-based accounting platforms like QuickBooks or Xero. Based in the Philippines and able to work U.S. Hours. It’s a remote-first, mission-driven environment focused on small business success.
