we know exactly what we need to build. We need someone who knows how to build it. trope mc is a social app for the booktok reading community, and we're setting up our full email automation stack from scratch — transactional, lifecycle, reactivation, and weekly digest. The flows are designed. We need the technical setup executed cleanly and handed off with documentation we can actually maintain.

### what you'll do
- recommend and set up the right email platform for our needs — we're evaluating brevo and klaviyo, bring your reasoning.
- Connect Firebase to the email platform — user events triggering the right automated flows.
- Build four core flows: transactional activity emails, weekly personalised digest, product news updates, and reactivation campaign for users inactive 7+ days.
- Write or finalise email copy in English, in the trope mc tone — warm, booktok-native, human.
- Test, QA, and document everything so we can manage it going forward without you in the room.
- Be available for light monthly maintenance once setup is complete.
### must-haves
- proven experience building lifecycle email flows for a consumer app — actual triggered automations connected to user behaviour data.
- Hands-on experience with Firebase (or equivalent) as an event source for email triggers.
- Experience with at least one of: Brevo, Klaviyo,
Customer.io, or a directly comparable platform.
- You write clean, human email copy in English — or you know when to brief someone who does.
- You document your work. We need to maintain what you build without you on call indefinitely.
### nice to have
- experience with social apps or community platforms (the email triggers are different from e-commerce).
- Familiarity with
Make.com or Zapier for supplementary automations between Firebase and email.
- You've worked with early-stage startups and know how to scope for a lean team.
