We are seeking highly skilled and disciplined scriptwriters to join our team for an animated YouTube channel. This is a demanding role for experienced professionals, not a casual gig or suitable for beginners. The primary responsibility will be crafting compelling scripts for animated YouTube videos. Your writing must demonstrate clear visual storytelling capabilities, translating seamlessly into animation. We require fast-paced, engaging, and retention-driven narration to captivate our audience. Topics will vary and may include history, strange events, dark stories, or educational concepts presented in a compelling and accessible manner. Scripts typically target a 5-10 minute video length. Successful candidates will possess a deep understanding of YouTube retention strategies, including effective hooks, pacing, and payoff mechanisms. You must be adept at writing for visuals, focusing on showing rather than telling, where every line justifies its existence. The ability to take feedback constructively and iterate quickly is essential, as is a proven track record of meeting deadlines without compromise. We are not looking for fluff writers, individuals who rely solely on AI-generated content like ChatGPT, or those who produce slow, bloated, academic writing. This role requires self-starters who do not need constant hand-holding.
