We are seeking an experienced WebAR/computer vision developer to build a browser-based virtual piercing and jewelry try-on platform. Users should be able to open a webpage on iPhone, Android, tablet, or desktop, activate their camera, and visualize studs or piercing jewelry on the ear in real time. Future support may include nose piercings.
We require an independently developed solution using open-source and/or licensed technology. The project will involve several key stages, starting with an initial paid proof of concept.
Initial Paid Proof of Concept Deliverables:
* Live camera integration within a mobile browser.
* Robust head and ear detection/tracking capabilities.
* Accurate virtual stud placement on the earlobe.
* Stable anchoring of virtual jewelry during head movement.
* Compatibility with iPhone Safari and Android Chrome browsers.
Possible technologies for consideration include MediaPipe,
Three.js, WebGL,
TensorFlow.js, React/
Next.js, OpenCV, WebAR, and WebXR.
The full project scope will include:
* Support for multiple piercing positions and a variety of virtual studs.
* A comprehensive jewelry catalog with SKU, size, style, and material data.
* Functionality for users to save their preferred piercing looks.
* Integration of QR codes and customer/location links.
* Multi-tenant business accounts for various clients.
* A master administration dashboard for overall control.
* Customer activation and suspension controls.
* Usage analytics to monitor platform performance.
* Future expansion to include nose piercing visualization.
Key Requirements:
* The solution must be mobile-first and entirely browser-based, requiring no dedicated app installation.
* The architecture should be clean, modular, and easily maintainable.
* All development will be managed within a client-controlled GitHub/GitLab repository.
* Full disclosure of all third-party libraries and SDKs used is mandatory.
* No proprietary dependencies are allowed without explicit client approval.
* The client will retain full ownership of all custom source code and project deliverables.
* Complete deployment and thorough documentation handover will be required upon project completion.
Ideal candidates will have proven experience in WebAR, computer vision, face and ear tracking, and virtual try-on solutions for jewelry, eyewear, or makeup. Familiarity with technologies such as MediaPipe,
Three.js, WebGL, and
TensorFlow.js is highly valued.
