Spanish Proofreader/Editor Needed for 25,000 Word Ai-Translated Ebook

I’m looking for a Spanish speaker who is fluent in English to proofread and edit a 25,000 word Spanish ebook.

The book was originally written in English and translated into Spanish using AI. I need someone to correct and polish the Spanish, while using the original English manuscript as a reference.

Scope of work:
You will be responsible for:
- Correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax
- Fixing unnatural or awkward Spanish phrasing and mistranslations

Note: This is NOT a translation project. This is NOT developmental editing or a complete rewrite. I am simply looking for proofreading/copyediting of an existing Spanish translation.

Requirements:
- Spanish speaker
- Strong English comprehension
- Previous experience proofreading/editing Spanish

I will provide both the English original and Spanish translation for comparison.

Budget:
Fixed budget: $90

This is my maximum budget and is non-negotiable. Please only apply if you are comfortable completing the full 25,000 word manuscript within this budget.

There is no urgent deadline, so I can offer reasonable flexibility on delivery time.

Before hiring, I may ask shortlisted candidates to proofread a short sample from the actual manuscript so I can assess the quality of the editing before proceeding.
