About this project

Open
We require an experienced academic developmental editor for a comprehensive, publication-level review of a theoretical manuscript. This manuscript, approximately 3,600 words (excluding references), is intended for submission to the Canadian Journal of Autism Equity. The article explores barriers to learning, intentional inclusion, individualization, Autistic children’s interests and curiosity, and conditions supporting meaningful participation.
The editor's responsibilities will include:
- Identifying conceptual gaps, unsupported assumptions, repetition, unclear terminology, and areas requiring further evidence.
- Strengthening the logical progression between the research problem, literature review, proposed framework, application, limitations, research directions, and conclusion.
- Formatting the manuscript according to APA 7 guidelines and the specific submission requirements of the Canadian Journal of Autism Equity.
- Preparing an anonymized submission version.
- Creating a separate author-information title page.
- Crafting a customized journal cover letter.
- Drafting an authorship and exclusive-submission declaration.
Candidates must possess strong source-verification and citation-auditing skills, along with familiarity with blinded manuscript preparation. This is a substantive academic editing role, not a request for basic proofreading or automated rewriting.
